About
Hello,
My name is Nora Larson.
I have considered myself a chef since the age of five (although others would disagree). The first recipe I crafted was an egg-filled, vanilla-filled, chocolate apple dip. For context, this delicacy was created while Mom was distracted on the phone. I thought the flavors worked well together! Mom ended up convincing me to add some flour and baking powder to bake it into a cake. Dad managed to eat a whole piece without gagging (although there was a lot of Cool Whip involved).
You will be happy to hear that I no longer put eggs in the apple dip. I have learned from a ton of great chefs, Alton Brown, Emeril, Racheal Ray, Bobby Flay, Mario Batali, and Julia Child…so basically the Food Network. I also had a lot of family influence, my mom can make a fine cream gravy, and my grandmas win at every potluck and Christmas party! My namesake grandma Nora Anderson (aka “Cookie Grandma”) makes the best date pinwheels, apple pies, and fudge. Grandma would make her fudge recipe every Thanksgiving and Christmas, now I'm happy to share this tradition. Grandma Nora's fudge recipe was passed down to me, and now I get to share it with you!
When not in the kitchen you can find me outside walking, biking, running, or hiking in Spearfish, working from a coffee shop, enjoying time with friends, or playing with the family dogs north of Lemmon!
This is my fifth year making fudge over the holidays! Pre-order and pick up your fudge at the Lemmon Christmas fair on November 16th, 2024.
